In my 2018 favourites post I said that I was going to try and be more positive this year so I thought in this post I could tell you how I am going to try and do that.
Spend less time on my phone/social media👩🏼💻
I am so bad at this, since my iPhone has starting tell me how long I spend on my phone a day it scared me! Last week I spent over 30 hours on my phone and over half of that was on social media, mainly instagram. So I am going to try and spend less time on my phone and try and do something productive instead.
Don’t always focus on the negatives and try to turn negatives into positives🙌🏼
I probably find this one the most difficult as my immediate reaction is to think of everything negative, but I’m going to try and turn negatives into positives and learn from previous mistakes. I had to put this to the test the other day when I got a parking ticket, but it’s fine, it could of been worse so I paid it and it’s forgotten now, I’ll just read the signs properly next time.
Surround yourself with people who make you happy🥰
I am always influenced by other people’s moods so if I’m around people who make me happy then I’ll naturally be happier. I am lucky as I already live with my boyfriend. Don’t let other people bring you down.
Make time for yourself💆🏼♀️
I always try to have a mini pamper session at least once a week, this makes me feel better about myself and gives me time to switch off. In our new house we have a bath now so I can’t wait to use a lush bath bomb light some candles and relax.
Let me know in the comments how you stay positive.
I love your positive outlook lovely. It’s a really great way to start 2019. I try to set myself time limits on how long I go on social media for.
p.s. I really love your boots.

I agree with every point you’ve listed! Part of me also wants to spend more time away from social media and just staring at screens in general (as I work from a laptop too). But then when you want to try to grow your blog then this is a difficulty 🤦🏻♀️😂 Pampering yourself, yes! Self care is SO important. Great post 😊
